California Regulatory Update
3.26.2026 | Reading Time: 20 Min
For years, many of our California customers have relied on Vena’s full spectrum hemp products as part of their daily wellness routines — supporting better sleep, relaxation, and overall balance.
We want to share an important update regarding new regulations in California that will affect product availability.
What’s Changing on July 1, 2026?
California Assembly Bill 8 (AB8) introduces new licensing and distribution requirements for hemp-derived products containing THC.
Because all Vena products are made with full spectrum hemp extract, we will no longer be able to sell or ship any Vena products to California customers starting July 1, 2026.
What This Means for You
- Most of Vena products will become unavailable for purchase in California starting July 1, 2026
- Orders can be placed through June 23, 2026, while supplies last
- After this date, we will no longer be able to ship Vena products into California
If you’re unsure about a product you currently use or have questions about your account, our customer support team is here to help.
This Was Not a Decision We Took Lightly
We understand that many of you depend on Vena products as part of your wellness routine, and we don’t take this disruption lightly.
Our team has closely monitored the development of AB8 and explored every possible path to remain available in California. Unfortunately, the new requirements restrict the sale of full spectrum hemp products containing THC under our current model.
To remain fully compliant with state law, we must discontinue sales in California.
Our Commitment to Your Wellness
While this change affects availability in California, our commitment to you remains the same.
We will continue to:
- Deliver high-quality, full spectrum products you trust
- Support your wellness journey with consistent, thoughtfully formulated products
- Stay engaged with evolving regulations and evaluate future opportunities to return
